Sadis & Goldberg Wins $2.4 Million FINRA Arbitration Award Against Interactive Brokers

Three Times Higher than any Prior FINRA Award Against Leading Online Broker Sadis & Goldberg LLP is pleased to announce a major victory in winning a $2.4 Million FINRA arbitration award on behalf of its client against Interactive Brokers, LLC, a leading online brokerage firm.  Sadis & Goldberg represented a large securities trader on his claims that Interactive Brokers misrepresented the expiration date of VIX Futures, causing him significant damages. After an arbitration hearing spanning two weeks - and ten witnesses - a three-member FINRA panel issued a significant award in our client's favor.

This award is particularly significant, because it is more than three times the size of any prior FINRA arbitration award against Interactive Brokers. Sadis & Goldberg relied on its expertise in complex financial products to develop a clear and persuasive trial strategy. This outcome highlights how our firm's sophisticated practice gives it a significant advantage in complex securities litigation.

Notably, Sadis & Goldberg's efforts won high praise from the FINRA Panel, including one Panel Member's comment that: "I've seen many, many litigators, and. . . . You are among the best that I've seen."  The Panel praised the entire Sadis & Goldberg team, noting that all members "obviously" were "providing very good support for you."

Sadis & Goldberg LLP Partner Sam Lieberman tried this case as lead counsel, with associate Michelle Tanney as second chair.  Paralegal Elina Sheldon provided litigation support.
